Break up for Summer Holidays

The year 6 girls have thoroughly enjoyed attending our 'Girls' Club' every Tuesday night. Here are some pictures from our final session during which we had a little party.

During the last week before half term, Year 6 learnt about Black History and studied the Black Lives Matter movement. The children were very mature and considerate and worked very hard throughout the week. Here are a selection of some of the posters the children created on racism and BLM.

Samba Drumming

The children in year 6 experienced a fantastic samba drumming workshop with Jude, who is such an amazing teacher. We learnt about the different instruments, beats, rhythms and lots about the Brazilian culture.

Cooking From South America.

Argentinian Beef Empanadas

Poetry - Benjamin Zephaniah

We have been studying poetry and in particular, we have used a a poem called 'The British' by Benjamin Zephaniah to inspire our work. Please enjoy some of our poems written in lockdown 2021 (click on the picture to see it).
