Who: Elected members to represent each class (Years 1 to 6).
At Kirkby Woodhouse School our work based on the environment has earned us the Eco-Schools Bronze Award and we are currently working towards achieving our Green Flag Award.
To achieve the awards our Green Bees work hard to ensure that we reduce the amount of energy we use, reduce the litter around the grounds and ensure we Reduce, Reuse and Recycle our rubbish.
We are very proud of our eco-environments around school including the pond area, the nature area and the Woodland Walk. These provide a range of outdoor learning opportunities for our children.
Green Bees would like you to donate any old batteries so we can recycle and dispose properly. Duracell are currently running a 'Battery Hunt' campaign. We would love your help with this.
Collection boxes will be available in Reception.
