Shining Cliff
Year Six had a day trip to Shining Cliff, Derbyshire on Wednesday 18th September. We made our own shelters (not sure they would be recommended by Trip Advisor), played a game of Mad Chefs in the woods, waded through mud and finished with a rinse in the stream. The sun was shining and everyone had a great day.
Stanage Edge
Year Six had a day trip to Stanage Edge, Derbyshire on Wednesday 2nd October. We thought that the weather was going to be dreadful but the rain stopped ready for our arrival and we even saw some blue skies. We walked along the rock edge, had lunch in a cave and enjoyed spending the day together, admiring the views.
Samba Drumming Workshop
As part of our South America topic this term, Year Six had the opportunity to experience Brazilian drumming and to work together to produce their own Rio carnival piece.
Nottingham Forest STEM Event
A group of children from Year 5&6 went to the City Ground for an interactive STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) lesson.
South American Cooking
The class researched foods from across South America and made their very own Argentinian Empanadas.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
