Homework
In Year Six, we expect children to spend quality time reading, learning spellings and practising times tables. These are the things that we feel will help most with their school work and SATs this year.

Spellings
Spellings will be sent home usually on a Monday; we will have used the words for handwriting and to learn some strategies during that day.
We will then have a test the following Monday; this allows a week to learn the spellings. For the Autumn Term, we will be using the words from list 5&6 and we will do 10 spellings each week. The words will be arranged into spelling patterns with some additional words to support.
The full spelling lists can be found at the top of this page and we will also post the weekly list to this page with the test date as a reminder.
Reading
Children are expected to spend a minimum of 20 minutes, 3 times a week reading a book of their choice. If children wish to read more than this, we would welcome that.
Maths
We expect all children to complete time on Timestable Rockstars to build fluency in multiplication. Children should aim for at least three times a week, 20 minutes each.
