Bank Holiday 19th September 2022

Dear all,

 

After such sad news of the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, we are just writing to confirm that Monday 19th September is now a Bank Holiday for the State Funeral of Her Majesty the Queen.  Schools will be closed on the 19th as a mark of respect. In his speech yesterday, King Charles III declared a Bank Holiday for his mother’s funeral, and this has also been confirmed in a statement to all schools from the DfE (Department for Education).  Our thoughts and prayers are with the Royal Family at this sad time.
