  • Aspire Shakespeare Festival

    Sun 22 Apr 2018

    On Friday 20th April Mrs Chambers and Mrs Cantrill took a group of Yr4 children to perform in the Aspire Shakespeare Festival at Sir John Sherbrooke Primary School.

    They spent the day with groups of children from Yr1 to Yr6 from some of the other schools within Aspire - St Peter's East Bridgford, Archbishop Cranmer School and Sir John Sherbrooke.

    The day culminated with the children sharing their Shakespeare performance pieces to an audience.  Well done everyone - we are extremely proud of you all - a KWS BEE Moment.

    Here are some pictures from the event . . .

  • Sun Safety

    Thu 19 Apr 2018 Mrs Mallender

    As you will be aware it has been a lovely sunny day.  This is just a reminder to please send you child fully prepared for such days.  We would love your child to have:

    * A sun hat or cap.

    * Sunglasses.

    * A water bottle.

    * If possible apply your child with 'All Day Sun Cream/Once Sun Cream' in the morning before school when the weather forecast is for a sunny day and then we avoid any messy applications in school!

    We ask you apply the 'All Day Sun Cream/Once Sun Cream' in the morning before school to avoid children sharing creams that may not suit their skin, accidently getting it in their eyes and applying it independently and getting in a bit of a mess!  However, we realise you may not have this type of sun cream and therefore ask you please apply it before school and send in a named bottle for your child to re-apply if necessary.

    Thank you for helping us keep your child safe over the summer months - we anticipate lots of lovely weather!

    Mrs Mallender

  • Welcome Back

    Summer Term 2018

    Welcome back to a new term at KWS.

    I trust you have all had a lovely break.

    It was lovely to see all of our children back, ready and raring to go yesterday.  As I visited the classes, I was really impressed with how the children were keen and eager to learn.  Their attitude and enthusiasm was a joy to see.

    We have lots happening this term - residentials, class trips, visitors coming in, our KS2 Summer production, sports' competitions, choir 'gigs', sports' days and so much more.  Please keep a look out on your child's year group page of the website.

    A more detailed newsletter will come out in due course.

    As always, if you have any concerns please do come and let us know.  If I am unavailable, then Mrs Withers is on hand in Foundation Stage and Mrs Roebuck is on hand in Key Stage One should you need a port of call.

    Many thanks

  • Year 3 Walesby Residential Update

    Sun 15 Apr 2018 Mrs Jones

    3DW

    Monday 16th April to Wednesday 18th April

    We are looking forward to the next few days away at Walesby with 3DW and the weather forecast is looking much better!

    Just a couple of things:

    1. We have put the leaflet with the kit list and daily programme under the 'Clubs and Extra Curricular' tab on the website for you to refer to.

    2. The weather is looking particularly sunny and warm for the Wednesday when we will be outdoors at Hardwick Hall. Please pack a sun hat and sun cream.

    3. We will email parents/carers each evening to update you on how they are getting on so you are kept in the picture.  Photographs will be uploaded onto the website when 3DW return from their trip.

    Happy packing and we look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow morning.

    Many thanks
