Year 4 News and Homework

World Book Day

What a fabulous time we had last Thursday on World Book Day. The children looked amazing and the quote treasure hunt and story trail activities were great fun!

Your children may have discussed with you the assessments we are undertaking this week. Yesterday morning was particularly gruelling but all the children faced them with super attitudes. We will be sharing the results of these with you at Parents' Evenings next week - please ensure you return the slip to book an appointment for this.

In contrast to the assessments, we are enjoying some sporty activities every day this week, as well as the daily mile. Don't forget that on Friday, all children will need to come in 'sporty' clothing. Our afternoon will be focused on how keeping active can keep you healthy.

The Year 4 Team

In Year 4, children are set same homework each week. We encourage everyone to spend quality time reading, learning spellings and practising times tables. On Monday, children will be given spellings to learn. This will be tested the following Monday. On Tuesday, the children will be given a short times table activity to complete at home. This needs to brought back into school the following Tuesday.
