Day Two

Watch the tourism video for visiting South Africa. Using what you have seen in the video and the pictures, write simple sentences to describe what you might see, hear, smell, taste and feel. I have written an example sentence in each box. All sentences need to start with a capital letter and full stop. Each sentence will need to be written using the sentence starters below:

I can see...

I can hear...

I can smell...

I can taste...

I can feel...

All living things have lots of similarities and also many differences too. We can use these similarities and differences to sort living things into groups. For example, we can sort living things simply into two groups - plants and animals or we could sort animals into groups based on which animals live in water and which live on land.

Have a go at sorting the animals into a Carroll diagram based on which animals are birds or not and which lay eggs or not.

As an extension, see if you can sort out animals into a Venn diagram based on which animals lay eggs, breathes air and lives in water (some animals may fit into more than one criteria).

You do not have to print the sheets off - simply edit the word documents or copy the diagrams into your exercise books.
